While CBD does not treat them directly, it considerably downplays the role of their symptoms, which in turn hooks people on this medicine for good, in a healthy way not for its mythed addictive traits. It is not baseless to understand where this negative stigma comes from due to the associated different strains of cannabis such as THC and Marijuana, the sister strains of CBD, however just because of their similarity of having a relationship with the cannabis plant does not mean it is the same with the same dangers or side effects.
